Consumer app
A stalled build, cleared to submission.
A consumer app was stuck. The founder could feel that something was wrong but could not name it, and the build had stalled short of the App Store.
The problem
A set of production blockers no one on the team could diagnose. One was hiding in plain sight. The interface relied on color in a way that broke for colorblind users, which was quietly failing real people and review.
The caliber
A senior production and engineering lead, the kind who has shipped enough to recognize the failure modes that do not announce themselves.
The work
We worked through the blockers one by one, rebuilt the parts of the UI that depended on color alone, and brought the product to the standard a store review actually holds you to.
The outcome
Six blockers cleared and App Store submission readiness in 8 weeks. The founder went from stuck to shipping.
A stalled build is rarely one big problem. It is usually a handful of small ones, and the skill is knowing which to look for.
